Recovering a constructing with 50 years – half housing, half barn.
The goal is to take care of present reminiscences from an area that, as soon as, was the stage to such various experiences – rural tales combined with tales of younger individuals from a controversial time.
Within the presence of such a particular place, because the barn, is chosen to guard it and elect it because the protagonist of the brand new house of a younger rising household.
A single new component is inserted on this area, virtually like a furnishings piece, that concept is accentuated by its personal materiality – painted OSB. With a really small finances (the opposite objective), it’s important to create a compact component, bringing collectively all the brand new features – kitchen, bogs, storage and staircase.
This “furnishings” is prime within the compartmentalization of the social space of the bottom flooring, dividing the area between entrance space, front room, eating space and kitchen. The highest flooring, which served in different occasions, for drying grain, is overlooking the social space and works as a retreat area and dealing space.
